In this session I’m going to touch on teacher and student centered learning experiences with a plethora of uses! After I walk you through how to set up a Canva classroom and enroll students with your LMS, I will give an overview of the amazing features the platform has to offer. As a supplement or substitute for slide presentations you can build agendas, newsletters, Google Classroom headings and other banners, bitmoji classrooms, hyperdocs, and even flipped presentations right within the platform. The magic really happens when you create and send templates for student projects, learn how to give real time feedback within the app, and foster a collaborative environment for students to showcase their knowledge with beautifully designed templates, or from scratch. In this session, we will dig into the power of Flipgrid to allow students to verbalize their thinking process and creatively demonstrate their understandings. Using Flipgrid, we have an opportunity to celebrate different ways of thinking and students can contribute in a format that best fits them. We learn so much from our students when we open up forums for every learner to share in this way and they, in turn, learn so much from one another. In this session, I’ll talk about leveraging Flipgrid to foster a peer-to-peer learning culture that can extend beyond the walls of the classroom.
