Alison Kriel was an Executive Head Teacher with a demonstrated history of high attainment taking her inner city schools to the 0.1% of all schools. She has a passion for change management, social justice leadership, staff and pupil wellbeing, the celebration of the teaching profession, inclusion, equity, and diversity and she enjoys supporting school leaders and schools facing demanding challenges. She advises locally and internationally supporting schools with strategic development through conscious leadership and mentors teachers and school leaders who feel pushed out by the profession but still have a passion for teaching. In May 2021 Alison launched https://aboveandbeyond.education, a one stop shop for education. It’s a platform for schools, school staff, consultants, innovators and service providers to have professional conversations, share and celebrate what they do best, connect, collaborate, support, ask for help and grow together to take collective responsibility for every school to be a great school. She is a fellow of Fellowship (FCCT) of the Chartered College of Teaching, a HundrEd Ambassador and RSA Fellow. She was awarded Doctor of Philosophy Honoris Causa for attainment and services to education in 2018.
