Formative Assessment Tools for Student Success 

This session will help teachers find, develop, and share best practices for the student-centered, data-driven environment. The focus on formative assessment will provide participants with tools and resources that can be immediately shared and implemented within their classrooms. Participants will leave with knowledge of a variety of resources. An engaged learning environment is the bedrock of the 21st century classroom. The purpose of assessment is to discuss ways to address instructional needs and accomplishments of students, allowing teachers to personalize and differentiate instruction. This session will explore various tools: Google Forms, Socrative, Kahoot, Poll Everywhere, Edpuzzle and others, as you engage and formatively assess your students. Digital formative assessment creates a workflow to make informed, real-time instructional shifts to personalize instruction for all students in the classroom. During this session, participants will be able to create their own formative assessment from a choice of tools that fit their instructional goals and classroom setting.


Audience: Grade 3-12 Teachers, Administrators, Coaches, and Teacher Leaders

Please mail all correspondence, including purchase orders, checks and agreements to TMI Education at PO Box 922, Madison, NJ 07940. If you are unable to attend a program for which you have registered, email TMI Education at info@tmieducation or call seven (7) days prior to the program to request a refund. No refunds will be granted unless notification is provided within this time frame. TMI Education reserves the right to cancel events for any reason, including inclement weather and instructor illness. If TMI Education makes the decision to cancel a workshop, we will use the EMAIL contact information you have provided to us to inform you. In addition, we will post the announcement of cancellation on the respective TMI Education website workshop page. If TMI Education cancels, participants will be provided a choice of:

  • a full refund;
  • transfer to another, upcoming workshop date and location (space permitting); or
  • credit toward a future workshop. (Please note that all credits expire one (1) year from the date that they are issued.)
