Champion Teacher: Techniques for Every Teacher

The 'little things' are the most important things! The 'big things' - the ideas, concepts, connections, skills, performances - cannot hapen in our schools and classrooms without a consistent application of the 'little things'. What are the 'little things'? They are the discrete moves and actions that teachers make almost imperceptibly; they are the ways in which teachers give directions, the means by which teachers praise or correct their students, or the ways in which they manage their classroom to optimize every moment of instructional time. As teachers, time is our most precious resource. In this session, participants will learn how to master the use of that time through effective use of the 'little things'.
