The Literacy Alliance provides school districts with a community-based, comprehensive and sustained professional development solution to promote exemplary K-12 literacy practices - across ALL content areas.
As a member of the 2020-2021 Literacy Alliance, your district will have access to an extensive collection of membership benefits, including:
Minimum of 10 premium grade level-specific K-12 workshops and events, designed for K-12 teachers and educational leaders - and - totaling nearly 500 PD credit hours!
Minimum of 5 after school literacy study group sessions, organized around “hot topics” in literacy instruction
Discounted rates for professional books and resources, including the latest publications from Gravity Goldberg, Pam Koutrakos and Sarah Fiedeldey, to name a few

The 2020-2021 Literacy Alliance workshop schedule is currently available. As is our customary practice, all program offerings will align to current NJDOE mandates and initiatives, research-based best pedagogical practices and member feedback. 2020-2021 Literacy Alliance Membership Information
Membership Fee - $4,500 (allows for up to 5 seats/workshop and all other membership benefits; additional seats provided, when available, on a first-come, first-serve basis)
And the benefits don’t end there! As a member-district of The Literacy Alliance you can have access to an additional 500 professional development hours through the TMI Professional Learning Consortium. As a member of the TMI Consortium your staff will have access to premium professional development programs, conferences and events in support of topics including, but not limited to: social-emotional learning, executive function, mindful practices, brain-based teaching and learning, current topics/issues in school law, differentiation, technology integration, and more - all for a discounted single annual fee of $2995 (standard membership fee is $4250)!
As a community-based initiative, The Literacy Alliance invites all member-districts to participate as active stakeholders in the framework process. This means we highly encourage and welcome input from each member-district in ensuring our framework will meet, and satisfy, the needs and expectations of each respective member-district as well as the collective community of member-districts as a whole. Feedback from member-district leadership and their staff is critical to achieving the collective goals and objectives of The Literacy Alliance.
Each member district may have up to 5 teachers participate in each of the 10+ programs throughout the 2020-2021 school year. The individual teachers/administrators attending each session is at the discretion of the member-district.
